I am really ticked off. I was suppose to be off till Wednesday because I had asked to take a personal day on Tuesday. However, they scheduled me to work on Tuesday because my co-worker has a big order going out Tuesday and apparently I'm the only one who can help her, even though there are plenty of other people who could do the job. The real reason is she can't stand to see me have any time off, even though she had been off on sick leave for almost 3 months this past Spring.
be glad they let you go on vacation, my other half was denied her vacation because the backup CSM (who writes the schedules) didn't bother to look at the master vacation calendar they filled out at the beginning of the the year from all the requests. And she's scared to say anything about it to the union (management is like "oh well, nothing we can do about it") because every time she has had to file a complaint about her CSM she suffers retaliation in the form of reduced hours, we lost dang near everything because they cut her back to under 20 hours a week even though she has full time status and over 11 years with the company.
