This happens everyday at my store oh the drama. People that open in the morning say oh that night shift closing didn't do anything lastnight. Then the person closing saids the same about the morning. It happens everyday on every shift. Is it just my store of every store?
Oh its the constant thread of grocery work. When someones doesn't pull their weight, they will blame it on the employees that arent there. That's if they are a total jerk of course, and I'm glad I work with a group of employees at the moment that don't do that sort of crap. If someone doesnt do something, they are held for it, and people own up to their own mistakes.
In the past though I remember a meat manager I used to work with, he would ALWAYS blame the 2nd for not doing this, or that, even if it was somethings that was totally the responsibility of the manager to do. This guy was doing a real terrible job, so he eventually got himself in so much trouble he couldn't weasel out of it, and was demoted down to the extra board. He even tried to blame me (the seafood manager!) for his inability to do certain things! That really takes the cake, I dont have any duties in the meat department other than general customer service, and occasional "wow its so slow I need something to do" stocking. Any more than that is not my job, since I'd probably need to do something seafood related anyway.
He tried to say that I should have been looking over the CAO orders for the frozen meat doors (haha!) and correcting his mistakes. My response was sure, pay me meat manager wages and I'll be happy to. Haha.
Well I know a girl that works at starbuks in our store. Why day she asled me what was wrong. I told her people at this store are crazy because noone does there job. The morning shift blames the night and the night blames the morning. She told me when she worked for Chick-fil-a it was the same way. I really thought this was a Kroger thing until I found that out and then I thought it was a local thing. But I guess it's just food service drama.
