The usual around this time of year...

Any other stores or divisions having an issue with Salvage (Stacks of Blue Chep Pallets, Cardboard Bales, etc)? Our store can be the last store on the trailer and the driver cannot take salvage because he has to go up north to the Kraft DC or to get a load of turkeys. I know this isn't the driver's fault, but something's got to change! Got probably about 2 1/2 53' Trailer loads of salvage!

we had this problem a few weeks ago. We had to literally beg and plead for someone to come take salvage off. We had nowhere to put our order. All the other drivers were too lazy or had to make trips to other locations.

Thankfully they sent an empty truck... that was running late.

at my store we use to have slavage pickup several times a week, butnow they only come once a week.  And now with the holidays here, we can fill the truck completely, and stillf have at least half a truck more.

At my store, we get a whole truck and they just drop it off and pick up the salvage every night we get a grocery truck.

Our store does get Groc, Perishables, and Frozen every night, and in that case, the entire trailer is dedicated to our store full or not. I don't believe its a case of a driver being lazy, it's the point of having to go else where to pickup another store's salvage or heading to get turkeys or to the Kraft DC

Salvage, is the term used to describe stacks of blue chep pallets, plastic pallets, stacker boards, empty meat trays, Card Board Bales, etc that are ready to be delivered to the "Salvage" yard for processing.
