I have a question, I'm a part time Kroger employee and I was told that for working on Christmas eve is considered a holiday. On Christmas eve do we recieve holiday pay or do we recieve the extra 4 hour deal?

you know, not sure with part timers.

I THINK you get 4 hours, on top of what you sceduled, but don't hold me to that.

i do know, full timers get 8.

it depends on your contract. last year i got holiday pay but it was the same as my normal pay.

in the cincinnati market, we receive time & 1/2 the day following christmas + we receive 8 hour of holiday for christmas itself. so if you work 5 days including the 26th you can potentially get 52hrs of pay for the whole week.

Worked part time for almost 3 years, never got holiday pay. Could just be how our contract was negotiated around here, but it's just for full timers.

No holiday pay for christmas eve.Monday is the holiday pay day.

I'll die before I work Christmas Eve OR Thanksgiving, which is why I requested both those days off ;D

I'm a part timer but a conditioner and not front end. I do get saturday and holiday pay but im not sure if i got christmas eve extra pay. Unfortunatly i'd have to wait till next pay period before i know.

 

I suppose the unique position of being nothing but condioner does have a difference from the front end baggers pay.
