I work at the Dillions in Great Bend Ks, hired as part time and up working 30 to 40 hours a day. I don;t even ****ing know why they put a shedle end time on our paper work we are never out of there when were suppose to be. This last month for the most part i been schedule 3 to 4 hours, but end up working 7 to 12 hours with out a lunch break. I have yet to get out of there on time ever.... Been yelled at just cuase i will make DR apts in the mornings at times that am suppose to be off (but never am) and so i have to leave
they can not make you stay past your scheduled time unless you agree to. They are required by union rules to give you a lunch break if you are at work for more than 6:30 hours.
anytime this happens make a note of it, get people who will vouch for you, and file a grievance with your union representative on whomever is not allowing you to leave or take a lunch.
if you want to cause waves of course.
