How many stores are going through severe hour cuts? Me and the other part time 3rd shifters at my store only get 12 hours a week, 4 hours a night. We have even had to move some people to other departments until hours pic back up. There is a new kroger about two or three counties over and i am pretty sure they are being given a big chunk of our hours.

Hours are store based. All stores are going into an hour cut until vacations start being given out. When they begin you'll be given more hours depending on your help and seniority ranking.

I've been part time for 3 years now and haven't worked a single week under 35 hours. Im in grocery, and we get so much OT it's not funny. The manager's threaten to write us up unless we stay over and finish the job; stocking truck, facing, etc.

Right now Im getting 40 scheduled hours. Have been for awhile now. During christmas we were severly slow, but two weeks after cmas it picked back up. I think that week after christmas they scheduled only 25 hours. I bumped a shift on my off day and had 32 scheduled hours. At the end of the week I ended up working like 45 hours.

our store has 135 people working in it. As the store manage stated the other week, He is still looking for more part timers and one more for the market, part time. Market does not really need anyone but wanting to transfer out one person to get him closer to home. The other departments are basically full but there are a lot of vacations to be taken soon and a remodel coming up in June. From what I over heard the other week, kroger is planning to push the policy of full time hour employees need to be able to be available at any time without all the restrictions they place on their schedule.
Have two people in my market that was always wanting to restrict there time of availability and are full time. Cut both of them to 32 hours on one week and gave them the option of claiming some night hours or staying right where they are. Front end is even worse with everyone complaining about not getting the full time hours or what they need but then come back and say they are not available to work those hours. Solution is to hire the help they need and move out those that just does not want to be there. The more flexibility one has to schedule, makes it easier to get the jobs done.
