Doing just the sweep is OK. I am fine with starting and stoping that. I am used to it now. It's just going to the clock for each option that I am upset about. Trust me they will do them all. They are there for a reason.

And as for sweep and safety it does not matter how many times you sweep. Someone can fall. A grape can drop out from someone eating them BEFORE they pay for them. I find more grapes than anything on the floor.

A few weeks ago my store started where you punch the clock to do a store sweep. I was Ok with that. At my store we have 4 Utility Clerks. The Courtyesty Clerk does not do our work unless it's after 7 or no utility clerk for some reason. When we started this I was told to only do sweep and store. Today I was told we have to do restrooms now. This is getting really anoying. Everyone try this at your store. On the time clock hit next. Then sweep looks whats there. All departmeants are listed. So sooner or later we are going to have to go to the clock and log in when we start and log out when we finish and do that on each departmeant. This is so crazy. The assistant manager told me today she called one of the clerks upstairs because he was loging in to do sweep but he was not logging out. Well so what? I mean they call you do bag they call you to lot and if your logged in to sweep you have to log out to do whatever and then log back to finish. Being a Utility Clerk used to be easy. But now all this has made it hard. I told someone today about all this and she showed me the sheet she has to sign on everything. I said yes you carry that around I have to go to the clock when I start and when I finish. Kroger makes this job fustrating and it causes you to stress out because if you forget they start fussing. I have worked for Kroger for 18 years and never been wrote up. Why are they doing this? I do my job. I have a restroom log when I clean the restroom I sign it. I am pretty much incharge of the 3 other clerks anything needs to be told they tell me to tell them. I told one of the clerks we have to punch the clock to sweep and the response was "I am not doing that". This clerk is a good worker she is just going to have to be told by a manager to log in on the clock. I shure hope they don't make us do all of them thats under sweep I think it's just dumb. Why not just do store? And it shows "Bathroom" it should be "Restrooms" Kroger does not have "Bathrooms" You don't go in there to take a bath do you?

Your best bet is to follow the rules to the best of your ability. Its annoying yes but keep track of how much time you spend on everything. Write it down. Answer all the calls for you to do other things. If you are asked about something not getting done then present to them what you have been doing and how much time youve wasted on that time clock. Your best bet to get rid of it is annoy your store manager in to looking the other way.
