What is the role of a person running the office. Be specifice in every detail please. Give a job description if any thank you.
it really depends on where you are. in my store the office person is responsible for handling customer problems (prices being wrong on receipt, exchanges or returns on product that was either bad or the wrong item. They also sell money orders, send western union money transfers, sell lottery tickets, help cashiers with problems they have at the register, give front end associated their breaks. office associates also make sure lot gets cleared, bathrooms get cleaned, and unwanted products get put back on the shelves. hope this helps some. i loke working in the office it is all on how your CSM is....Make sure you pay attention and realize there will be a lot on your plate and you WILL get cussed at least once a day sometimes more! ive even had blueberries thrown at me because the customer did not realize that the free blueberries had to be rang up for inventory purposes, but that the coupon making them free came off at the end of her receipt. i would not give her the money for the blueberries so she threw them at me. As long as you are prepared for more abuse you'll be fine!
it is a logical move it you plan on staying at kroger for awhile...i did when i started 5 yrs ago and now i am a csm (front end dept head)
Don't work in the office unless you want to have people screaming and bitching in your face all day long. Go to a department where you actually work and sweat. In my opinion, the front end isn't the place to be because it's where the customers have the best opportunity to make your life hell. I was only a bagger/cashier, but I had my fair share of rude and nasty customers. Please try to avoid it, if you can.
