Kroger Home Office to Take Over Schedule
Permalink

Are any stores already on this and if so how is it going? My understanding is that the schedule will be made for 2 weeks in advance and will be available for viewing on the internet with your passport id and password. I'm wondering how this is going to work with vacation days/off days mixture.

It's not going to work. people quit on a regular basis at kroger it's not worth it to do a 2 week schedule. Hell, just the other day we had a produce clerk quit, this was at the beginning of the work week. If they start doing this it will be a disaster.

It won't work, so kroger will be all over it.

kroger uses a time keeping system called Kronos.  I have seen where other huge companies will have the Kronos system make up a mock schedule for various departments then the managers will fill in names.
