Just a plain remodel is awful. Expansion is probably worse.
When my store was remodeled, there was a period of time when aisles would move every night. It makes it impossible to find things, and then you have to hear about how things aren't in the old place for a solid year, at least.
And then anyone who works after 10:00 pm pretty much needs to bring earplugs due to loud construction noise, and dust goes everywhere. If you have any kind of breathing problem, it's a particularly bad time.
^That scares me already. My store is supposed to have some remodeling done next year but I don't know how extreme they mean by it yet.
Man, we got remodeled about 2 years ago. I loved it. Of course, I'm into that sort of thing. Things are so much better, newer, nicer now and it's awesome. Just exemplifies the old saying that change doesn't come easy.
