Try facing/blocking as you go.......  Less time spent when it already done or you only have to do the Top/ Bottom shelves.  Also, learn to use a standard boxcutter not the safety ones provided and pay attention to the guys/gals working with you. Good Luck!!!!

There are many ways to speed up stocking. 1st organize your work. Make sure that you are not running up and down the aisle to do a box here and a box there. If your store allows it, do drops of the product in front of where they need to be stocked. If not try to organize on the cart before hand. Prep the shelf for the product, move what you need to before you put product to shelf, rotate when needed. Half the battle is getting it out of the package/box. Learn how to speed up this and you can work pretty quickly.

Boxes of packaged goods. Open from bottom and empty box to floor or table. Grab a stack by using two hands to press the boxes together, load previously cleared space with stack. You can be pretty quick with this metheod and works great on ceral boxes, cake mixes or any item in boxes.

Can goods in plastic. Getting the plastic off is half the battle. If case is half flat(12 cans) flip box over to cardboard side, using box cutter make cuts in x pattern across bottom from corner to corner, when turning box over to can side grab on of the flaps created by x cut, pull plastic off. this is the easiest way to remove most plastic wrapped packages.

When stocking canned goods, it may be easier to rip one of the sides off the flat, and if possible slide the entire flat unto shelf. If shelf has room and enough facings do this. Cut off plastic, rip or cut off one of the sides, place flat on shelf, using your forearm against back row of cans, pull flat out with other hand, straighten as needed.

Just a few tips, use common sense, think about how to get that product to the shelf the fastest way possible. THINK OUTSIDE THE BOX!!

I found a good way to minimize the amount of stock to the backroom which will save everyone time in the long run is to flex product with similar price points into the product right next door to the area that is full. This saves time taking the product to the backroom and will save time when the next person is stocking the pulls (backstock). Also fills up the shelves more so that it looks better to the customer and allows this item to be sold instead of sitting in the back room.

I just took over a store last week where the manager plugged holes. The whole store is full of stuff in the wrong place. I am in my own personal HELL trying to fix it

 What state?  What department?

I am on 5 ph days.  For double time, I would help fix it.
