It'll be two weeks. I didn't get a check for orientation - it went to my first paycheck.
The way it works is you work your first week, then you'll get a paycheck for that week the following week. After that, it'll seem like it's weekly. If you were to randomly quit, you'd still have whatever work you did that week, plus your previous week check coming, as an example.
I just started at kroger and i thought you had to wait 2 weeks before you got your first check? I got a check yesterday for orientation. Does that mean no waiting? Before you say "Oh why didnt you ask your manager?" I forgot to ask and i don't go back till tuesday so i wanted some thoughts on the matter.
The kroger week is sunday - saturday, so, it depends on the day you started. You are paid every Thursday for the work you've completed the week before.
For example, this thursday(30th) I will get paid for the work I did the sunday(19th) thru saturday(25th). This trend continues every week.

Do you pick up the check or do they mail the 2nd check on fridays if i dont have DD?
Ask at the service desk. I had new people start and they mailed their checks from the beginning. Now, I have new people that are picking them up at the service desk.
