I always like, "Mr. Smith, if you're in the store, you have a phone call on line 101." Does that mean if Mr. Smith isn't in the store he doesn't have a phone call on line 101?
One night I heard someone say on the speaker "____, please come to the hot dog stand, we're running out of catsup" and I had no idea wtf they were talking about. I found out, the guy spilled a pallet of catsup so everyone was having a laugh about it the whole night.
Here we're supposed to say, "Good day/morning/afternoon Kroger cuistomers and associates' before any message on the PA, and no non-essential chitchat or comments whatsoever.

Well, that's just stupid. I can just imagine someone saying, "Good morning Kroger customers and associates. We have a milk delivery on the back dock." By the way, does anybody else hate the term, "associate"? We are not associates. We are employees. If we were truly associates we'd have a lot more say in what goes on and how things are run.
Agree. Vending contractors, affiliated companies, the board of directors? Associates. Hourly employees who can be replaced in a New York second? Not so much.
Our store used to play some really good music over the PA system. Then along came KROGER RADIO with their stupid pillsbury dough boy ads every 5 minutes. Happy Holidays Kroger shoppers, It's me, The Pillsbury Dough Boy, Whats the best part of the hollidays, Taking wire cutters and clipping the speakers. Then putting a gun to my head to put myself out of misery.

All the music may not be what you like. What kroger does is plays the music that hot the charts over the years. They try to play songs that everyone likes. But one person may not like all the songs. They used to call it KRGR but now it's just music and advertisemeants. It's back like it used to be. I am not sure where the music studio is located and if all the stores have the same setup. Maybe all stores are the same abd come from main corp in cininatti. It comes thru KU Band dish on top of your store.

Before I leave Kroger I'm gettin on there and belching as loud as I can!
I know people who have done that before...Won't be the first time! I also love when they call a person to the back room ten times, and he's not even in the store that day!

I sometimes hear the exact same songs I hear in Kroger on the radio in other stores in the area...I wonder if other chains use the same music...
