Politics - Religion - and Her

Sounds like that lady has some serious issues if she has to pick fights with strangers in a grocery store. Who knows how many times she's done it to others at other places. We all got our political views for our own reasons but in no way gives anyone the right to just blast someone out of nowhere because of it.

And so what if you are a democrat? Who is to say you vote democrat all the time? She's an idiot to even assume such (and even if you do thats your progative not hers). I'm registered republican yet my mindset is more independent as I vote for the person who I think represents me best at the time which could be a democrat at times. Next time just show the crazy folks the cold shoulder after you've done all you can to help them in store.

Today I had the strangest thing happen. This lady walks up to me in my department and starts asking some strange and out of line questions. I ask her if there is anything that I can help her with and she say's yes there is. She ask me if I were a registered Democrat or Republican. With out thinking I said Democrat. Well she went off on me like a bomb. She started ranting racial slurs about the President and made crude comments about my possible religious beliefs. I then plainly told her that I did not discuss my politics or religion with a total stranger. If I could help her with anything in the store-fine- but other than that I could not answer those types of questions. After she left I told the manager on duty about what happened and the things this woman said. Thankfully we have a good manager and he told me not to worry about it, and if she came back to let him know. Well she calls on the phone and proceeds to tell the manager my name and how rude I was to her. She wanted him to fire me on the spot. My manager stood up for me and told her that he had already heard my side of the story and as far as he was concerned she was not welcome back to shop. I am thankful we have good management, and they know that I come to work every day, do my job, and keep my mouth shut. I feel sorry for those of you that have to work under bad management and could get put on the hot seat for something like this.

Sounds like a Sammy Kershaw album to me. He's the guy who did the song " Queen of my Double Wide Trailer " You know the tune.  " She is the queen of my double wide trailer with the pollyester curtains and the redwood deck. Some times she runs, but I've got the trailer, a dangeling black heart and a pretty Red Neck. And Yes, I am an Idiot!!!

Sorry you had to go through that no based on my experiences the best thing you can do is say  " I am not allowed to discuss religion or politics on the job" and if they ask you why tell them you'll get fired/ in trouble.

Its sad that you'll begin to see more and more people come out of the wood works near the end of the elections especially this year with both sides very tense amongst each other. The woman of course is very arrogant and blind to the GOP, but also to that of the Democrats. I can sadly say that i'm a Democrat, but I don't agree with each side of the parties. I believe in a moderate balance of both sides is healthy for the country. Its the bickering and arguing that is destroying the very fabric of this country. I talk politics with my customers from time to time and they're very respectful of my views as I am to theirs. Heck, I was talking to one who said its getting expensive to buy meat these days. I told him that with the withering corn crop its going to drop all prices up. I then told him that you also have to factor in Diesel fuel to truck up the cows and ship them for processing. Taking that and sending it to the warehouse and then from the warehouse to the stores. It quickly added up that perhaps Diesel fuel all along is a major factor in driving up the costs of all groceries. I'm honestly surprised Kroger hasn't try alternative fuel sources or transforming their fleets into Bio-Diesel fuel.
