Our Kroger used to hire off duty police officers to catch shoplifters. And believe me, they caught lots of them. Ever since Kroger started all this ELMS crap they say that they can no longer afford to pay these officers to staff our store. Now you should see how much is getting stolen. Last night 2 guys raided the Condum case and ran out the door with their arms full of rubbers. I find empty DVD cases thrown behind the diapers and in the dairy section. We had a shelf full of the male enhansement product EXTENZE. Like $40 dollars a box. Someone stole them all. There are garbage bags full of empty medicine boxes and DVD cases in the office. Tell me how Kroger can not afford to have these officers present. It's getting worse every day. I can't believe that these people are so desperate that they feel the need to steal. The health department will give you all the rubbers you could want for free. And loss and prevention only seem to be worried about employees using their plus cards too much or some sort of other pety crap while our store is being robbed blind. I would like to hear every ones opinion on this subject.

This happens at my store also. Now what's this about loss prevention worried about us using our Kroger cards too much? Well they better not say a damn thing to me. They provide a discount so why cry?
Same at my store. We had a person from loss prevention come in one time and say that they would rather catch 1 employee shoplifting than 20 customers. They worry about stupid stuff.
This store is located beside a major university and all the college punks from NY AND NJ come in and just steal anything they want. It makes me sick to see how the youth of today conduct themselves in public. Belching like pigs and using filthy language. Pretty little girls using the F bomb like it was a noun. Dressing like strippers. Calling each other Douchbags. No respect for the small children with their parents. It all just makes me ill.
After fighting wth the same problem and the theft is still ongoing after losing about 35.000 dollars just from theft by 1 empoyee and 1 manager within 4 months time there is still a lot of employee theft from employees and at least 2 dept heads and 1 manager that is still ongoing i see it every day and so do others and have reported it multiple times over the past year with no results so just do your job and leave it be, it aint your money or product let the theives worry about themselves oh by the way we have security but he was told not to approach anyone just report it to management who are stealing themselves.
