I'm afraid to say this people, but I have the feeling we're going to be in the fight of our life. It seems like the more that Kroger puts on us the more people just do whatever their told for
the fear of losing their job. These upper management hags have been adding more than what you can do in a timely matter for the last 5 years. I want to say that many years ago i'm a pro company guy
who respected the company deeply five years ago, but despite what my other coworkers have said my views have drifted what I once believed. We need to make a stand against this company for it
has been assaulting its workers for the last couple of years. I'm a very good worker, but at times I just don't feel it from them. We need to become more organized and we need to stand up to fight
for our contracts even if it means going on strike. We need to start saving money in the event of an ongoing strike for wheter you believe it or not sooner or later they will try and make drastic cuts to
our contracts to fill the pockets of the Store Manager, Assistant Manager, Assistant District Manager, District Manager, and all the executive pockets with a big fat bonus from the fruits of our labor.

I agree. Things in this country are building to critical mass; these Tea Partiers and Occupyers are just the tip of the ice berg. Many people decry and make fun of what they're doing, while over looking the point behind why they're doing it.
Corporate America, their lobbyists and Capital Hill are in bed with each other as never before in the history of this country, and within the next few years there will be basically no such thing as the middle class any more. The one percenters couldn't care less; they're operating on a global economy now, so it doesn't matter if poor Americans can't afford their goods/services.
I don't pretend to know the answers to these problems, but I think we're gonna see some pretty drastic, revolutionary war-type actions coming soon. The growing influx of illegal foreigners being selected over us for jobs, while paying no taxes but enjoying all the benefits WE pay for, alone, is creating a battle cry from coast to coast that cannot be silenced, no matter what legislation is band-aided over it.
So yea, I agree: Deny it or embrace it......We all better get prepared for it.
I read this post yesterday, and when I went into work yesterday afternoon, I looked on the bulletin board at work to find out more about the Union and don't see anything. I am a Newbie to this forum and have only been working at Kroger for 3 months. How do you know if your store even has a Union? No one has asked me as a new employee to join, but maybe it's because I live in a "Right to Work" State. I don't even know who to ask or trust. My Kroger is out of the Atlanta Division stores and would my store have a Union Steward?
Is my Kroger exempt from Union rules and management gets to do whatever they want in their management style and demands to employees? I don't know that much about belonging to a Union, given I've lived in this State all my life, but I would like to find out more and be better informed.

My post is more towards Kroger Management and how they're going to try and belittle us in contract talks over the Affordable Healthcare Act.

You hit the nail right on the head. I agree 100 percent with every word you said. Anyone out there who thinks otherwise needs to do a reality check. Just open your eye's and you will see it comming.
