Can I get fired for not talking my last break. I am a minor in Ohio. I was working at the service desk and my supervisor had five other breaks at 8 when my was due. So she said mine was last we both forgot. I for home and forgot. Help
I'm sure as time goes by and the longer, lets hope not, that you work for kroger, the larger and larger loads of crap that you'll get dumped on you, leaving you eventually with no time to take either break, if you get two, or can't even squeeze in one if you get that. Hell, if i work b or c, there is NO chance of me taking either, because of the insane amount things that HAVE TO get done.
As the previous poster commented, As a minor you can not get into trouble. If you have experienced this on a regualr basis you may want contact the union via phone call or email.
It's not your fault you didn't get your break, it's not like you refused it. Minors labor rules require certain things, I'm not sure that a 15 minute break is one of them.
When you are an adult, minor labor violations are out of the equation, and all you are left is the contractual requirements (one 15 minute break on a shift 4+ hours, two 15 minute breaks on shift 7+ hours). You are entitled to them, you might as well take them. If you refuse to take one, that is on you. You can't get fired, but you may have a problem if the manager thinks you are going to try to turn it around on them down the road and accuse them of denying you your breaks.
