In the month and a half I've been working at kroger I haven't been late . Well today I was .. Why ? My cousin was supposed to come get me but overslept . I was half an hour late and I'm wondering how hours and being late works .. Do you get deducted for minutes late or what ?
I think what he's saying is, if he was scheduled to be in at 9-5, and he instead worked 9:30-5:30, would he get docked for being late. I don't think you would but i've never been late...
Ahahaha y'all got me #TeamDumbQuestion. I got something else to tell y'all . I got called to the managers office which I'm thinking is about me being late this morning ... Not at all. The main point of me being summoned was my cell phone use . Thing is I've had my phone for like a week . Apparently i've gotten a lot of complaints of being on my phone alot which I don't agree with . The only time I use my phone is on breaks , lunches and in free moments like walking down the aisles I might reply to a text or 2. I just don't understand what would cause somebody to go out their way to tell management on me .. I barely talk to anybody and from what I seen, most of my coworkers don't seem to care. So I've already guessed who told , It was most likely one of the older guys and this one girl. I just don't understand how I'm getting told on for minding my business but nobody tells on the girl who steals candy from the stock room

Don't do that on the sales floor. I might brush through my texts in the bathroom, but only for a moment. Its mainly because my phone is also alot for business too.

Dude...what cutter said. Seriously don't text on the floor. The only time my phone comes out of my pocket if I'm on the floor is to check the time. I will reply to a text if I'm in the back, but I don't linger. Don't do things like that to get yourself noticed in a negative way...and get some dependable transportation.
You are paid in 15 minute increments, specifically 0:53-0:07, 0:08-0:22, 0:23-0:37, 0:38-0:52.
For example, say you are scheduled at 9:00, and you punch in at 8:53, there is no more pay than if you punched in at 9:00. Likewise, if you roll in late and punch in at 9:05, you are still paid as if you punched in at 9:00. If you are really late, and you don't punch in until 9:10, then you have moved into the next quarter hour increment. 9:10 is the equivalent of 9:15. You only loose a quarter hour of pay at this point. Also, you should get marked as a tardy on your attendance.
