Can you describe all the stuff you have to do and any interactions you have with customers? I worked at Kroger as a bagger for two years during high school and I am currently in college and have to write a paper on someone in the food or health industry. Decided to focus it on Kroger any help would be appreciated. Would prefer someone for each of the three departments to respond... Thanks! :)
Why don't you just go back and read the past posts on here? There's plenty of them where people describe wha it's like to work in one of those departments.
I've been in the meat department for nearly 8 years now. My tasks over the years has grown and I have become more productive, but more of a work load has been dumped upon me. Here's some of my daily tasks
- Clean an 8 ft section of the counter - Markdown the counter - Wrap the meat on the line - Fill the Counter - Break Down The Truck (Tue, Thur, Sat, Sun) - Work Frozen (Mon, Wed, Thur, Fri, Sat) - Donate leftover expired markdowns - Do an order of Fresh Meat/Case Ready, Frozen, and Supplies (Everyday) - Straighten counter daily, - Wait on Service Case - Special Requests when the main Meat Cutter is on break
Cutting Meat - Setup Service Case - Fill out Cutting Tool - Grinder Log - Record 3 days movement on each item (up to 8 pages) - Fill out the Cutting Tool and inventory the counter - Finish 3 cuts, including all fresh meat ad items - Grind out Trimmings from the cut - Wait on Service Case Customers / Do Special Requests

If you are going to write a paper based on talking to people on this or any other forum then it , along with you are a loooooooooooooooooooooooser.
Now if intetrested then go back to the kroger you worked at or to another kroger, and talk to the ones that work in the store. maybe your paper woll be more fact than fiction that way.
