Training and pay
Permalink

I was recently hired as a cashier. My training starts next week. My questions are:

  1. Does Kroger mail checks to employees or does the employee have to personally pick up their check from the store? (I am aware of direct deposit btw.)
  2. Do I have to clock-in when I arrive for cashier training?
  3. Will the cashier training show up on my first paycheck, or will that be a separate check?

We get paid here in IN every thurs. im not sure if that varies from state to state or not..Your clock number may not be in the system yet, so someone may have to manualy clock you in, but yes make sure you clock when you arrive.

and all your training should show up on your first paycheck. And if it doesnt, make sure and say something.

Welcome to Kroger!

And no, you have to pick up your check at the front office if you do not do DD.

At my store, until the first week on the floor with a normal schedule I had to write on the sign-in sheet and get it approved by a manager.

Our checks are available Fridays at Customer Service.  It took about a week for DD to start, not the three weeks it said online.  Id you do DD your paystub is available online at ExpressHR.

Depending on when in the week you started, you might not get a paycheck for a week or two. I think my first paycheck was awesome because I started too late for it to go on the next paycheck so I got two weeks worth in one paycheck. Then the next couple were really disappointing and then I had OT for Christmas decorating shifts and was like WOOOO!
