I worked at Kroger when I was 18. I am now almost 21. I resigned after being asked to after I used my kroger card on a customers purchase (I didnt have an associate discount and never used kroger gas stations). I had an interview at Kroger another Kroger today in a different part of town and they did my drug test and sent my background check. My store sends trainees to another kroger location for training, which just happens to be the kroger I worked at when I was 18. If they hire me, and send me to training, can they fire me or would they fire me if they found out I once worked at Kroger? My file should only say I resigned for personal reasons... but I also did not use Kroger as a job reference. I am desperate for a job and this Kroger is within a couple blocks of my apartment.
best guess here is that if you make it thru your probation period then there is nothing they can do as far as terminating you for the past resignation. before the probation period they do not need a reason to get rid of you.
Alot of my new hire stocking guys are re-hired after quitting. They don't really give a damn in my opinion if you left kroger, they'll rehire you back no problem. We recently hired 2 new stock crew who had been baggers at the very same kroger and quit after a few months.
