Pregnancy and Working

Can anyone give me pointers on what to do?  I'm a full-time cashier, and I just found out I was pregnant.  I don't want to do anything to harm the baby, but can't afford to stop work.

Make an appt and talk to your doctor. You should be fine being a cashier while pregnant. Drink a lot of water, you really do need to stay hydrated. We have a cashier and a bagger that are both pregnant. Cashier hasn't had any restrictions because of her position, the bagger doesn't bring in carts from the parking lot. The baby is so protected, you'd be amazed at what you could do while being pregnant. If you've been doing it before you were pregnant your body is used to it and you can do most stuff until your center of gravity is thrown off, etc. later in your pregnancy. I trained horses up until a week before I had my youngest daughter.

Congrats!

Well if she needs to get a doctors note, then she should. Apparently our managers are a bit nicer as the baggers and cashiers can have something to drink at the registers, as long as it is our of sight when they aren't consuming it.
