Worked from 10 last night until 6 this morning and now I have to pull my big girl pants up and work from 2 until 10. Just aggravated. Feeling exhausted after unsuccessfully trying my very best to go to sleep at a time which I am not accustomed. This will not be a fun day. Seriously, I know this isn't an important issue, but I had to let my frustration out a little... Zzzzzzzzzz........

They are supposed to give you 12 hours between shifts. If they are not, notify the person that makes the schedule.

I believe it's 8 hours between shifts. Depending on your contract.

OP..Been there, done that and it's terrible. My eyes were so scratchy and just burned on those days.

In some contract it is 8 hours between shifts. I've been scheduled 2- 10 and then being back at 6 - 2. It takes 30 minutes to get home and it takes time for me to relax before I go to bed.

OP, I've done that before. Worked 10pm-6am overnight in files, and came back at 2pm-10pm to close floors. It sucked so bad. :(

Welcome to working nights.  It has nothing to do with not being acustomed to sleep in the morning.  Our bodies arent meant to sleep in the morning and wake at night PERIOD.  Us 3rd shift get no love tho.  I also agree its 8 hours.
