We recently had a major power outage on an end of town the Kroger store I shop at is; it lasted for over six night time hours. The store was on auxillary power for all of that, but with no registers/U Scans available. There were dozens of area hood rats literally filling carts with food, beer and liquor.....and just walking out the front door without paying, like it was the thing to do.
Sad....Y'know, in Mexico they actually shoot and kill pocket pickers in front of tourists (I've seen it).
Here? We just raise the prices to offset the loss. This **** pisses me off enough to make other people see their OWN red.
"The problem with a socialist society is that, eventually you run out of other people's money."-------Margaret Thatcher
If the store didn't have any power to run the registers, it should have been closed. Our store had its power knocked out due to a windstorm. We had people posted at the entrances to stop customers from coming in. Believe it or not, people still couldn't get it in their heads that they couldn't buy anything.
What kind of store are you in that lets customers walk around while the registers arent even on? sounds like that store has horrible management. also, why is there a Margaret thatcher quote to end this post? It was kind of random and your post had nothing to do with socialism so I'm wondering why you posted that?
we had a tornado blow right by ( sadly, not right through) my store, knocking out power, tore our flag pole down, pushing karts into cars, and yet we were made to stay open.
