For me, it depended on how long you've been working there. According to my contract I had, you had to be working there at least a year before you'd be eligible for holiday pay.

You get paid as if it were any other day. Under most contracts, you'll be paid additional hours for holiday pay after you've been with the company for a year. However, if you call in sick and don't have a doctor's note you lose your holiday pay.
