Lucky me I got the day off. But I had to work the last two nights first, and bakery breakout, which is usually 2 trolleys full, and instead, we had 6 trolleys full. Breakout took me from 5-8:30 both nights. :(

I'm about to head on in to do a 2 - 10 pm shift. i know it will be hell in there but I am not going to sweat it and just go nice an easy.

It wasn't as bad as I expected.  I think we had busier days this week but it was getting ugly when I left.

customers were all bitchy today. They waited 'til the day before to get their thanksgiving stuff. I think it will be this bad for a while.

hey wasnt too bad yesterday at all.  heading in real soon today (thanksgiving) and we will have 15 deli employees there at 9:30 am.  they brought 2 or 3 in at 6am then another 2 or 3 at 7am then 2 more at 8am then 10 more at 9:30!  all deli party trays are made already and all thanksgiving dinner are boxed up the day before.  wonder what the hell we will all be doing?  I might bring in my Twister board....

15 deli employees for one day? How many does your store have? My store doesn't even have 15 deli employees...

 I think your deli manager over-scheduled.  You shouldn't have to make anything.  All the bread should be baked and already out.  The turkey dinners should have already been put together.  If you're like most stores and close at 5:00 you shouldn't   have to do an afternoon steamtable or any chicken after 4:00.
