Christmas Party

I can't believe the Christmas Party is now up to $25 with no couple discounts, yet serving the same food year after year. If we're paying $25 let's bring on the steak seriously!

Our Christmas party is potluck.  The store provides the drinks, ice, chips, and bread.

Our deli/bakery/pizza shop used to have the best Christmas potluck.  While there was a potluck going on upstairs, we would have our own and it had 100% better food than the one going on over there. But then the other departments got mad and we had to stop having it. :(

its not a christmas party unless theres lots of booze, awkward dancing, drunken shenanigans, perhaps some fighting and/or crying, spontaneous hookups, and plenty of **** to clean up the next morning

i refuse to believe that kroger throws a proper christmas party for any of you.

We had a christmas party @ at hotel bar one year.  It was one of those $24.99 a nite places too.  Everyone for the most part was drunk and someone did something gross and unspeakable in the bathroom stall. I think they call it upperdecker nowadays. I gave one o fmy coworkers a ride home that night and he had the gull to ask me if he could smoke a joint in my car.  Never again!

I had to look up what an upperdecker was.

I regret doing this. :P

We used to have our parties catered at various local restaurants/bars; had to quit doing that because of many of the above scenarios. Too much liability attached.

Now, we just hold them in store where all three shifts can enjoy them. Usually we'll have deli and bakery food and sodas brought in to the break room.

I wonder how they would feel if I went to Salt Grass Steakhouse and bought a 13 oz Ribeye with Horseradish, Garlic Mash Potatoes, and a fully loaded Baked Potato for $23.99. I wonder if that would piss some of the bosses off. LOL
