Cashier to Shift Su[ervisor/Manager?

I am cashier at Kroger and have been here for while. It was a job I got at the end of high school and still have now in nursing college.

I am tired of being a cashier and would like to try being a shift supervisor.I was a shift supervisor at a local sub chain before they closed down when I was 15 and was almost a supervisor at my second job at a Wendy's (wasn't old enough).

How do I do that? What are the requirements? Do I need a degree? Age requirement?

Thanks!

Well, chances are, you won't get far into those positions until someone leaves. Moving up to floor supervisor doesn't require more than an hour or so of training, compared to a dozen or more for the office, but both positions require you to attend numerous classes on mostly BS things we already knew. One way to know if you would do well as a FES/office person: if something goes wrong, if you are the one cashiers ask for assistance, you might have a chance. But if you are the one who ends up needing help from someone else, you might not. Regardless, you would need to talk to your FE dept head.
