Just so everyone knows, the distribution center in delaware ohio passed a strike vote by 98% friday, there are technicalitys now but that shows the disgruntledness there. They now have Dave Dillion and The U.I.W. From washington D.C. sitting at the table with them because the medical they are trying to push is rediculous. and they refused to meet with union commitee members several times. They were always late and at the end of the night on the very last day they tried to sneak in a half a** contract with a signing bonus to intice ppl to take it. If the way Tony Russell treats ppl there does not change there will be a very big stand soon. They are very sick of destroying their bodies and setting records every holiday for them to give themselves bonuses and just cut back from the employee. Oh and not to mention, retiree's will have no insurance once they leave. That is what they want. When you have 98% of your faction ready to walk I think someone needs to step in.

I'd like to know the reasoning that went on with the 2%.

So, you're saying the 98% don't care about their paychecks? Why is it only the 2% that care then?

We passed the strike vote, doesn't mean we went on strike yet. ANd when they never offer you a contract you really dont have a choice. Plus they want to take away insurance after retirement and take away HMO.

Nope. Not saying that at all. I'm saying that their paycheck means more to them than the issues do. Maybe they get benefits through their spouses employer, or they've topped out in pay, so they're looking out for themselves and their family only, not for their co-workers.

What it is is they are scared. Scared to be unemployeed. The reason 98% of a warehouse that consist of over 900 ppl vote strike is because there are obviously problems.
