hi fellow kroger inmates. we all know the latest news out there about the right to work law imn michigan now but does everyone understand the far reaching effects this will have on us? health insurance is just for starters. the ohio warehouse has already passed a strike vote because krogers is going after ther insurance. It is about to get nasty in michigan. We all need to stick together as paying union memebers and save our money because we may need to strike. There is to much at stake for all of us just to sit back and accept . I worked in a right to work state and believe me you make far less money , little to no insurance and very little in the way of full time employees which is exactly what kroger wants. I pray for all of us to stick together as well as everyone else in mi. who knows maybe all union and non union workers in mi, need to organize and all go on strike for a week and shut everything down to get our voices heard. this latest bill has taken us back to the 1930,s and it isn't going to get any better if we sit back. Remember contract time is coming up next year and do we all want to go forward or take ten steps back? HAPPY HOLIDAYS
and i work in a right to work state, and the wages aren't great but they aren't bad..but the insurance/benefits are still pretty damn good. right to work does not mean the union doesn't exist there.
True, but why should the union cover you if you're not paying? You ever done a job for no wages?
The UFCW needs to step up their game.
But so do its members.
Exactly. Nobody never goes to meetings or anything. In my area alone you'll fine maybe 1 or 2 people who will attend the monthly meetings. I dont know how it is at the Iriving Union Hall. Grumpy1 could probably tell you though.

He's too busy driving his '86 Le Sabre 19 miles per hour down a highway designated 55 mph, going "ERRRRMMMMMMERRRMMMMER.....ERRRRMMMMRRRRRR.....I DEMAND TURDS!!"
Got cats and pots and pans and tons of other stuff in his obvious home/car.
