Any shifts you dread?

For me it's gotta be a tie between 11-7 and 12-8.  For me it's because these shifts feel so more longer than any other shift, especially in the winter.

I would have to say the 3:30 to 12 shift aka closing . 3:30 is the exact time it starts getting busy and everybody and their mom is in the store .

In the bakery, 1-9.

Despite what they want you to think, the morning people have it easier. I've done 8-4 a couple times and it's MUCH easier.

Before I was in management, I had a 4p-----1a shift.......Only it was really more like 4---when EVER, as overnight mgmt would keep us virtually all night as their slave crew. Sure, the OT was great; but you never knew when you'd be allowed to go home.

When I worked Deli I loved opens. You set everything up and got things going, what wasn't done just got passed on. Closing always sucked because you had to rush to get everything cleaned and done. Plus you didn't wake up and then hawk the clock for the first few hours to see if it was time to go yet

11a - 7p. It's a weird in-between shift, you come in after opening (I work in the pharmacy) and 99% of the time when you first get there you answer the phone and you hear "Were you the one I talked to about this issue with....?" Of course, they give you the entire story w/o giving you a chance to reply. I hate it. I prefer to open or close.

Express lanes on senior day.

Especially the first express lane next to a regular register.  The one with the ceiling support post in front of the sign so it's hard to tell it's an express lane.

Many of them have picked up the bad habit of bringing their own bags.

I hate them.

I work in the deli, and I hate working 1 to 9, mostly because after 4 it gets sooo slow and there isnt much to do. I love working 11 to 7 because from 11 to 4 there is always so much to do so time goes by quickly and then from 4 to 7 it isnt that bad.
