Pay Rate + overnight premium?

I just got hired. I got a letter to join the union and my stated payrate was listed on it. There is an overnight premium for working third shift. Would the rate on the paper be before or after the overnight premium?

Thanks

The overnight premium is in addition to your regular pay rate.   Anybody who works during those hours gets the additional rate (usually $.50/hr.) on top of their regular pay.

I work in Cincinnati. I work two days a week on third shift and my paystub says I earn an additional dollar an hour. Every hour between 10 PM and 6 AM is overnight premium.

It's just like if you were working on a Sunday. The overnight premium is not included in your "rate of pay".

What district?

I'm in Mid-South, and for us it's 12a-6a.

Well, for me it's specifically D3. However, I read that straight out of the union contract before posting it, so it should be applicable to all districts in 024.

I love working after 9 and 11 you get around 5-20 dollars extra in your check.
