Not sure. Probably regular posting. The HR lady at my store knows I'm wanting to get back into management as well as move up in the company, so she usually keeps me abreast of things.
just last week, our chef reportedly blew up at several people in the deli. he has the tendency to make the workplace very unpleasant and what can easily be termed "hostile". this was obviously brough to the attention of our lovely store management team. they (as always) took his side and once again swept the situation under the carpet. it was clearly pointed out to the store manager that the deli is now considered to be a Hostile Work Environment. This comment is supposed to direct management to enact vigorously to investigate the situation. well the best our store manager could do was to close the deli down for a good 1/2 hour during mid afternoon and call all the employees up to the conference room and lay down the law. he then asked if we had any questions or comments but how can you think up logical things to say on the spur of the moment.
i'm sure the chef got a talking to so ultimately he's been put in check for the time being. that pretty much what was needed to be done for we all do get along pretty well and no one wants another to leave the store. but its just funny how poorly management does things. it wa almost as if his actions were justified b/c he is part of management and we need to obey his orders - even when he goes belligerent LOL>
