How old is too old...

For a kid to have a fit inside the store?

Last night I had this girl about 10 years old, start crying and pouting because her parents (grandparents? not sure) were going to order a small 1/4 sheet cake instead of a 1/2 sheet. Then, she wanted it to be pink with zebra stripes. I told her, the edible image is only in black stripes but they could do a pink border on it. Well, she started crying again. Eventually, her parents were like "its ok, if you don't want a cake here we can go to Walmart and see what they have there". I'm sure the Walmart bakery employees were so happy to have a lovely customer like that. :D

She was such a spoiled brat. If I was her, I'd just be glad someone was going to spend that much on a cake for me. My mom and dad never got me a $15 cake like that.

Before we got those edible image machines we used to do stuff like that freehanded.  It could have easily bee done with the airbrush gun.

I see spoiled kids pouting everyday. Back in my day, my parents would have slapped me into next week.

when i use to manage the deli - and some kids started on a tantrum - i would say "THIS IS A HAPPY ZONE YOU JUST ENTERED! NO CRYING ALLOWED. "  Or "Hey Kid, didnt you check the calandar for today?  Its a Cry Free day!"

The bratty kid would look at me like "what the hell you sayin' willis?" but would shut the hell up till they move into produce....

One time I saw a kid that was throwing a tantrum that knew how the system worked. He told his mom, "I'm going to keep whining until you get me a candy bar." He got the candy bar.

Oh, get over your damn self.

If you don't have a cake that makes the kid happy, or you don't have the people skills to sell something that you have to offer to the parents as something that would make the kid happy, don't blame the kid, her parents, or Walmart.

Blame yourself and Kroger for not having a good selection of sheet cakes.   Seriously, you people need to learn what it means to have a job and work for people who are actually considering spending their money with you.   Give the customer what they want... if you don't blame yourself.

And.... who are you again Anonymous?

I was never rude with these customers, I can think what I want but i know when to shut my mouth around people as well.
The parents weren't even mad, they just coddled her immature little butt.
The father seemed embarrased about the whole thing, tbh.

I hate parents who let their kids through fits in the store.

Should have let the kid just taste the buttercream frosting.   No one is going to go to Walmart when they could get a cake covered with Kroger's buttercream.

Some old lady threw a tantrum today because I asked for her date of birth when I rang up the cough syrup. Although she was obviously older and I probably could have just made up a birthday, she was such a bitch that I told her I couldn't sell it to her unless she gave it to me or at least showed me her ID. I think 65 or whatever is definitely too old:-p Also, her 5-minute rant about how it's the kids fault for doing drugs and purposefully destroying America and wanting handouts was totally awesome....not...

I work in the pharmacy...the elderly throw fits every day. They are honestly worse than the kids are.

I believe it.  Senior Day is always a nightmare.

Kids tend to be bathed and have their diapers changed more frequently as well.

A while back I stopped in at a Harbour Freight next to the Country Kitchen Buffet.  Because it was next to the Country Kitchen Buffet, it was full of old people.  They all had bad/wrong coupons and they all argued about prices.  It was absolutely amazing to see.  These people do this absolutely everywhere they go.  How awful must that be?
