Overtime at one and a one-half (1 ˝ ) times the employees regular straight-time rate shall be paid for all work performed on a sixth (6th) day of the employees work week for full-time employees only.
After looking at the contract there is this one thing that must be changes right away on the next contract in June. If we do not change this then we fail all of our part time employees. Considering that Kroger wants to go more and more part time, we will become the next wal mart without this change. Think of the part timers working 6 or maybe 7 days in a week and only getting 30 hours a week or less and no overtime pay rate or premium rated for any work.

The union only cares if you're top rate or a dept head. That's who gets raises, that's who gets bonuses. That's all they negotiate. Anybody else is screwed.
Some times I've worked 14 days straight just to get my hours. My store wants us on 4 hr shifts. It's waste of time. It's worse if you take public transit, if you don't live on the doorstep of your store...
And then the hiring manager complains about people who "don't want to work" that he hired and attrition rate of the good ones is terrible. Really? You don't say!
