learn as much as you can about grocery business in your current position. the more skills and knowledge you have, the more attractive you'll look as a candidate. remember you are going to have to do some convincing of other people in order to accomplish this
Typically in some contracts your seniority starts over and you regain it at the first of the year and it depends on what you've told them on your availability when you hired.

yeah I got transfered down to the kroger down the street from me because I moved to that city and it was closer. Biggest mistake of my freaking life, I been begging my old store managers at the kroger I used to work at in Memphis to take me back. It is horrible at the kroger I work at.
No. In Houston's Contract you keep the same Seniority from store to store. Though their may be more people at that store with more seniority then you. It's a risk.
As for positions at the other store. You'll need to discuss that with that Store's Manager. Most stores are usually in need of Night Stockers on a regular basis, but only being available on the weekends might turn that Manager off. It depends. Most stores will work with your availability though, (in our Division) so it doesn't hurt to try. It also doesn't hurt to talk to your District Grocery Cooridinator or District Manager as well on what you need to do.
Sounds like you're part time though, so you shouldn't have much issue. It's a lot easier to transfer when you're a part timer than a full timer.
