here recently.. Well actually almost 8 months ago I was demoted from associate manager back down to a freaking cashier when first of all I was a frozen manager and before that frozen and dairy department. But thats besides the point of this ?.... The union has just now started on my case due to associate manager not being a part of the union and I'm fighting for my frozen manager position..... Anyways... When I met up with the union rep my previous store had write ups on me. 22 to be exact. 19 being horribly forged and 3 that were actual CA'S. Legally can I get some advice it is bothering me!!! .... District 3
I have write ups in my file from store where the SM asked me why isn't this done what's the problem with this and so on. They can only go back so many years to use it against you but I'm sure all this can be taken care of in a grievance meeting. But I don't think it's illegal. It's definitely not right.
You're doing something wrong, clearly. I would find somebody way high up that you can trust and get their advice.
We had an assistant manager, salaried, who was awesome at getting things done. Trouble was he was a douche juice in how he approached people; complete tyranny. Left to go manage a small restaurant franchise; been trying to get back on ever since. Thankfully the answer has been NO, THANK YOU.
On the other hand, we currently have an assistant who is nicer than your grandmother, but her head is full of rocks: Literally does not deserve her position. But I'll keep backing her, because why?
yea. i recently told our new district manager that I appreciate the managers who walk around in the morning or whenever and say hello to everybody then ask if there's anything they need. those managers are the best and get it. we got a store manager who walks around and will walk past a dozen employees and not say hello to 10 of them but only to the 2 he likes. just no interpersonal skills what so ever. stuff like that brings overall moral way down.

Write-ups are typically only good for 6 months and then usually disregarded. If they didn't do anything in the time of these write ups that their fault. If its taken your union representative this long to represent you... you need to stay on his ass and call him often. I would say on a week to week basis.
