One of my coworkers is a minor and has had numorous no call no shows as well as call off's in the past 3 months alone. They have been suspended twice and are rude and disrespectful to the managers as well as other coworkers. other coworkers have gone to managers to complain so how have they not been fired?!
this whole thread confuses me. i'm tempted to delete it. the original poster said "one of my" which means singular. then the next sentence it goes to "they have been" which is plural. did somebody miss 4th grade english?
then the 1st response is... the union. what does that mean.
hummmm.....

one/they isn't that uncommon but it is sloppy and wrong. the union might be why they don't get fired. sometimes it can be hard or impossible to get rid of somebody.
