I work on the grocery night crew and all week long our store has been having a reset and everything is getting moved around and it is hard to find what isle is what to stock the shelves, and they are still not finished with the reset, and the store is in disaray. Well, I heard that yesterday we had a surprise visit from our division President and he went ape s**t over how bad the store looked. Our store manager had the weekend off and was participating in a bike relay, when the president visited the store, and he even call the store manager and gave him a good chewing out, and told him he needed to be retrained as a manager. The other employees don't like our manager and hope that he gets transfered. I don't know what will happen but I think that the Prez should cut him some slack, our manager can be an azz at times, but it is not his fault about the store looking so bad.
One time someone from upper management came to our store while our assistant manager was on vacation, and they wrote her up because of some issue. She came back and was like "wtf? I wasn't even here!" She contested it and the union overturned it I think.
i work in the Cinci division. The president lives near our store. He has on occasion stopped by to pick up some goodies. Once he bitches because the deli broke down the hot table at 8pm and he wanted it up until 9 pm.
