I'm new to krogers, and our store has a double bakery/deli. I started in the deli and was trained over on it very effectivly. The man teaching me basically had me stand next to him one night and do nothing and watch the whole day, and then the next day he did the opposite while i did it and corrected me when i did something wrong. After a day or so, i had it down and just worked on managing my time. I've come to love the Deli now, but were lacking on people in the bakery and i keep getting more bakery days than deli's. thing is, im terrible at the bakery side. I cannot manage my time over there and i always come out running behind with work left over. Everyone keeps telling me it comes with time, but im doing so poorly. Managers keep coming to "talk" to me, and one of the night bakers have had fits over my shift. I've asked if theres any way i could be permantly Deli but they replied saying they were to short and couldnt, i just need to improve myself in bakery. Any advice?

I have a new girl in my (Wal-Mart) Deli/Bakery dept.s going through almost the exact same things as you. I'll tell you what I've been telling her: RELAX. If your work ethic is good, then so will you. It will come to you. Also, get with someone over there and arrange to stick as close to them as time permits.
