For Local 1996 (ATL) it's "New Year's Day, 4th of July, Thanksgiving and Christmas Day or days legally celebrated in lieu thereof" if hired before Oct. 2005.
Hired after then? It's only 4th of July, Thanksgiving and Christmas Day with two floating holidays mutually agreed to after one year on the job.
Senior employees are asked to volunteer for Easter and only required to work, in order of inverse seniority, if not enough volunteers.
Easter was steady busy but not the extremes of Christmas. It was probably closer to Thanksgiving which didn't feel all that busy. I can't believe so many people wait until Easter to shop for Easter. It's just weird.
Saturday was a psych ward for us, but Sunday was joyfully relaxed. I kept waiting for the bomb to drop, but it didn't. I actually got several projects done that I was anticipating not even getting started on til next week.
The only good thing about working easter is that its easy money. hardly any customers in the store that day

Hahaha! Apparently it wasn't in our store on Sunday! Our perimeter coolers broke down in meat and dairy and everything had to be moved to reefer trailers.
