does the hierarchy look like after that? The position I'm applying for is Associate Store Manager. Also what Is

the salary like? thanks!

Store Manager and Co manager are salaried management positions. Last I checked, you have to interview in Cinncinati to be considered for the job. The pay starts at 35--40 K depending on store/area (I wouldn't touch it with a ten foot poll, btw).

Anything beneath that is hourly, and I'm not sure of the wages.

I'm not sure if Associate Managers are salaried or not.  Assistant Mangers are salaried but Associate Managers are like the next step down.  They're like a liason between department heads and management.   I know at my store we call the Associate Manager by their first name and the Store Manager and Assistant Managers by (Mr./Mrs./Ms./Miss) last name.

Thanks for the information guys. I work for another retailer and make

50,000 a year plus bonus so it sounds like this position probably is

not for me. Thanks again.

What do associate managers do?

I don't even think my store has one. We have a store manager and 3 co-managers.

Associate managers are entry managers generally managers in training. They get paid hourly. Then co managers are salary dont know how much they make and store managers are the top dogs. They make from 75-120 thousand.

I ask my previous CSM when he was doing his management training.

It would definitely be a step down.   For a while, one of the girls in payroll was doing the job.  So you know it doesn't require a great deal of skill.

It depends on the division as to what an associate manager is. I am an associate manager. In our division we are basically store managers in waiting. Co managers report to me and I to the Str mgr. I make a little over 60k per year plus bonus. In other divisions, associate managers are basically administrative assistants.
