As baggers, we're supposed to sign the sheets in each bathroom when we are cleaning it. Anyway, today I was assigned to run the recycle center and check the bathrooms. I had to stop doing the bathroom check when I was on my last bathroom to be checked (there was someone inside) and the bottle machines were going off. When I punched out today, I got a mouthful from the acsm lady for not signing the last sheet. I wish they had a little more sympathy for baggers who are assigned multiple tasks at once (and we're a busy store). It seems as if management is heading in the direction where bathroom sheets are becoming another reason to write baggers up. Ticks me off because I work harder than anyone and they don't seem to care (about me).

"Sorry, couldn't do it."

Problem solved. It doesn't matter what anyone else says. It only matters if you get written up, and even then you can get the union involved for an unjust write-up.

acsm probably said something because management is getting on her case about the paperwork. i don't have time to get on them about it.  they're trying to get away from the paper records and get people to hit the clock for bathrooms and sweeps.  let me tell you, it's hard to get them to do that and harder when you can't check to see who has hit the clock and who has not.  i hate having to pester management to pull the logs so i can see where we are.  we're also perpetually short staffed and are forever pulling people off a sweep to bag or go on the lot or deal with bathrooms.

Remember that If you are taken up stairs to get written up to NEVER sign it.

Don't you just tap a few buttons on your time clock to log bathroom checks and sweeps? Stay logged in on bathrooms 15 minutes or more and store sweeps 30 minutes or more. I did one Friday and was told my bathroom check was only 14 minutes. My phone is a minute faster or maybe a few seconds faster. They still said 14 minutes does not count.

I am guessing he is like our store. Nothing is logged on the time clock except breaks or shift start/end.

Listen to bagboy. Sign nothing other than your paycheck.

It's not admitting guilt if you sign a writeup - its sorta like a traffic ticket it just says u were present at the time of the writeup. Even though the mgmt. hates it you can write a rebuttal on the writeup stating your side of the story. But all in all it's just frivolous bs anyway.
