I know it's common but any pointers? Sometimes I feel like walking out but I need the job. I work with a few kids that do NOTHING unless they literally have to. One orders me to do a bunch of work or just walks of while there are a bunch of customers so I have to deal with it. Then will act like a big shot and look at something I'm doing and say "no no no it's done this way.." Or "you aren't the one doing this are you?" i don't get some of my breaks half the time because he is off wondering. I've thought about telling management but he's been talked to before and remains the same and I don't want to make waves as I have to work with him one on one and he has been there longer. He also bad mouths other co workers in front of me all the time which is annoying.
Don't worry about him. If he is not above you other than seniority/management then do your own job and forget him. Is he on the same leveL as you just been there longer? Take your breaks as assigned Nd let him deal with his fair share of the workload. Sooner or later hell get caught and get himself in trouble, that's what I had to do with one of my cw's that been there longer. I simply told her; I'M covering MY end and getting MY duties done" she's madder than h*ll but oh well
i lasted 13 years at kroger, and learned the best way to handle problem co workers, is to be polite, a bit pleasant, but mostly ignore the hell out of them.
it's the same @ the Kroger I work at. only it's the rude no-it-all fresh out of management college kids I have to deal with. all of a sudden you know nothing after years of service and getting the job done. I want to quit. but can't afford to. it's just not worth it anymore. they expect perfection without an please or thank you. just do.do.do.
