I usually have sat and Sunday off. Been that way for years. So when I got my schedule, I didn't even look at the weekend. Never had. I always worked Mon-Fri. Well it turns out they wrote me in on a Sunday. Had NO clue because as I mentioned before, I always worked Mon-Fri and has weekends off. Well I never answer my phone on the weekends if its work related. So I ignored the call. Came in on Mon and they said I was a no call no show. I've never no called no show before, this is my first time. Now will they warn me or will I get a brand new write up? (I have previous write ups I'm trying to get rid of; unrelated to this.) or will they suspend me?

Ask your union steward. Or call the main union ofice and ask the main rep. It depends on which step of write-ups you are on, what mood the manager is in, etc. If we do not get a write-up within a week of incident, the managers can not write us up.
I am not sure where you are and do not post your store number. I could not find any info in our contract. For us, the schedule is posted(not online yet) by Thursday at 6pm. You have two days to grieve why you should have certain days off. It is based on senority. You have no gauranteed days off unless you have it in writing with your department manager.
I only work weekends and one day they scheduled me on a Friday. I didn't know so I didn't come in - I don't think they even realized I hadn't shown up for work until 4 days later because I never work on Fridays. Anyway, I ended up getting off with just a warning.
I don't get how you could not realize you were working on Sunday when you saw the schedule and saw that you had off a day in between Monday-Friday. Assuming your full time, I mean. But I'm sure since it was just a one time mistake you'll be ok.
you need to check your schedule every single week! doesn't matter if you "USUALLY" or "ALWAYS" work certain shifts or days. It is up to you to look at your schedule, NOT your boss to go out of their way to tell you!
How do you always get the weekends off in the first place??? I got to jump throught ten flaming hoops to get them off
I use to work with my Church from time to time. That's how they have me weekends off. I stopped going to the Church but didn't tell my workplace I stopped going there because I like my weekends free
