I was hired as overnight stocker in 2007 and walked out in the middle of my shift, never to return. My discount card worked for six more months. There was a note by my schedule that said to see the manager for my schedule. I only worked here about a week.
The so-called 'Red Flag' is a myth: It really comes down to whether we wanna deal with you again.
After enough time you're away, things drop off the Homo Orifice data base. People forget. Too many other things going on. In my practice, the only real things we look at are felonies----particularly sexual predatory based felonies.
We just hired a guy who has been fired from Wal-Mart....TWICE. I'm still trying to figure this out! So is he.

There is a red flag in the system, but its based upon the district. I know a guy who was blacklisted, but he went from the DFW area to College Station after he did several no call no shows.

Very real flagging system. My nephew was supposed to be flagged for calling in on a day he asked for off. He was rehired at same store a year later with a different manager. The manager loved him. But, he did so well, he was getting more hours than other people and someone complained(whined) to HR. HR investigated. Manager was told to let him go. He was "supposed" to be blacklisted.

By the way. He went to work for the competitor. Not Walmart or Kmart. The managers loved him over there so much, they made him a department manager within a year of hiring him. They are training him to go higher in their management system. He loves his job. I am still a part time night stocker after 5 1/2 years!!
There is a flagging system at Kroger, just as there is at many companies. You need to talk to the store manager where you are applying, be up front and honest about it, why it happened and why it won't happen again. If he/she wants you as an employee they can go up the ladder and have the command overridden. If they don't, they get a call/email stating that they have to terminate you, and you can't fight that one because basically you falsified your application by not disclosing it.

You know what, I'm not going to sugar coat anything. You sound like you have terrible work ethic and I really don't know why Kroger would even consider letting you work for them again. There's no excuse for just walking out, ever, even if it is a job as menial as retail. I got a phone call from my brother about our mother being airlifted to a trauma center following a major car accident and I still let my manager know what was going on even through I was hysterical at that point.
So yeah. Maybe you should work on developing a better sense of responsibility before you ruin your occupational reputation. Word about undesirable employees gets around, especially if you live in a small town like I do.
I just recently got fired from Kroger and I'm applying at another store. none of the mangers called me when I supposed to be scheduled and I misread the schedule. I want produce again and I'm applying at another store, again this is just recently can I get back into qfc?
