I've been working as a meat clerk (Nevada) for about a year now & was wondering: what's my wage supposed to be by now? I'm still listed as a utility clerk & being paid like one. If I'm listed as a meat clerk, will all my hours (starting from the day I started working in the meat dept.) be counted towards my raise? It's unfair if all those hours I worked won't be counted...thank you in advance for any help, guys. $7.35 an hour isn't enough to pay bills.
You need to call the union right now and have them handle it, they need to get the exact date you were moved to the Meat Department and then have them retro pay you for any raises you should have received. You'll probably have a year and a half of terrible 10 cent raises - but then you will get 50 cent, 75 cent and $1.00 raises until you top out.
