Did you quit to never return?  Or might want to return in the future?

Did you get suspended or in an arguement and just left?  They might help you but you should have called them immediately.

It depends on your contract.  Our contract, you have to sign some type of union dues freeze paperwork.  If you return to kroger two years later, you do not have to pay back dues for the last two years.

I do not think you will be paying union dues anymore since you no longer work for kroger.

the union dues contract is separate from working at kroger. if you move to another job that's governed by the union you're still in the union. basically you're trapped in the union for a year once you're in.  you don't necessarily leave just because that job ended.

I quit cuz i got another job! The place i'm working at isnt governed or has anything to do with the union. Im not returning to kroger any time soon. Do you think i should ask the manager about it? Or who should i talk to?

are they trying to collect from you? I don't think they can collect from you as long as you don't work for kroger.

You are still in the union but you don't have to pay dues unless your next job uses that same union. If so or if you return to Kroger you don't have to pay Initiation fees.
