I'm sixteen and I just got hired as a cashier. I went to orientation thinking my job was in they bag. Then, the orientation director gave us this packet of papers to sign and one paper said to fill out what hours we're available on which days. I thought the whole reason we were hired because we were available. As I said I'm only sixteen so I have to rely on my parents for a ride and I'm working part time. I can only go into work after 4:00 pm and the curfew where I live is 11:00 pm. I got hired at a brand new marketplace so I'm hoping they'll need everyone they can get. Should I take public transportation to increase my odds of getting hours?
did you put down roughly what time you'd be able to be there to work? That's what they need to know. Mostly they will want you to work weekends when you have full availability. if you HAVE to be home by 11 make sure to account for travel time.
Be safe.

Generally they will ask you when you can work and train you accordinly But in the front end we have so many training hours per week. That way they won't go over the budget hours.
