Can you NOT read?!?

I requested the 16th of July off because I have, or I should say HAD an ear appointment. I out it in 2 weeks IN ADVANCE in VERY EASY to read lettering (I.E. I- have- an- ear- appointment July- 16th) and they STILL pencilled me in. Guess they can't read? Now I have to go through the hassle of rescheduling, and hope that management learns to read do I can keep my appointment!!no

What do you mean they have to run it thorough after 12:30 Sunday?

Just curious because I work up at the pharm as a tech and they are pretty independent with their scheduling (most of the time if you tell them a week or so before hand or at least by wednesday (when they start working on the schedule) they will work with you. But this time, I requested the whole of next week off (I had it down by Saturday) and they still scheduled me to work one day without even consulting me to see if I was free that day. Is there any way I can back out of this because I did my job by having it written down wayyy before they made the schedule and there was a reason I was taking off the whole week.

at 12 30 Saturday afternoon the written schedule becomes locked unless you agree to a change after that time. any changes need to be mutual between you and your manager.

talk to your union rep

Most likely not. The pharmacy is almost like a separate company housed within kroger and as such many of the rules and benefits that apply to other clerks do not apply to them. I had a friend who just transferred from the fuel center of one store to the pharmacy of mine. He had to go rounds with kronos support because the union was still deducting dues from his checks and he couldn't even be in the union since he's in the pharmacy now.

Us techs don't get to be union members.

Thank God. I can cover my own butt if I needed to. I don't want to pay MY money I earn to an entity that I don't a) agree with, or b) need their services, and in Ohio we don't get that choice. We HAVE to join if we are in a union position. Bollocks to that.
